Born and raised in Rome, Chiara Thieke moved in 2022 to Berlin, where she currently studies Photography and photodesign at Lette Verein, maintaining an active presence in both Rome and Berlin.
After working on a Netflix production as a camera trainee, her interests have spread to the film world too, motivating her to shoot two documentaries which are still in production.
Speaking fluently Italian, German, English, French, and Spanish, and because of her widespread interests, her work is an amalgamation of portraits, reportage photography, editorials and still lives, using photography as a means of communication between her and her surroundings. A way to unite all of her visual languages, turns out to be through moving image.
Her work has been published in  "The Wire" magazine (Issue 475 / September 23).
Beyond her lens, her interests are also deeply rooted in activism and politics, as she is a member of the collective ZANK, passionately advocating for social change.
